Prof. Toyosi O. S. Owolabi

Prof. Owolabi is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, Lagos State University, and an Extraordinary Professor at the Indigenous Language Media in Africa Research Centre, North West University, South Africa. He holds a PhD in Journalism and Development from Strathclyde University, United Kingdom. He taught Mass Communication at Igbinedion University and Benson Idahosa University, respectively. He had been a Reporter, Editor and Member, Editorial Board of Concord Group of Newspapers and Credit Market Magazine in Lagos. He presently serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Indigenous Language Media and Discourse (JILMD). He is well published nationally and internationally, and his publications in diverse areas of communication are in several peer-reviewed books and journals.
