Linnaeus University Center for Concurrences in Colonial and Postcolonial Studies (LNUC), Sweden, invites Professor Salawu as a Guest Researcher
The prestigious Linnaeus University Centre for Concurrences in Colonial and Postcolonial Studies (LNUC) at Vexjö in Sweden has invited Professor Salawu, Director of ILMA Research Entity at North-West University, as a guest researcher from 1 November to 1 December 2024
During his month-long visit, Professor Salawu will actively contribute to the research environment at LNUC, participating in seminars that will facilitate insightful feedback on ongoing research projects related to the Center’s focus. Additionally, on Thursday, November 14, Professor Salawu gave a lecture at the university on ‘African language media as decoloniality’, sharing valuable insights from his expertise in colonial and postcolonial studies.
Professor Stefan Amirell, Director of the LNUC, formally communicated this invitation in a letter, underscoring the Center’s commitment to fostering intellectual exchange and collaboration. The opportunity to engage with scholars at Linnaeus University is a significant milestone for Professor Salawu and ILMA, and it also showcases his international academic recognition.
